BREAKING NEWS: Philippine Center in New York in lockdown after staffer tested positive for COVID-19

New York - An employee of the Philippine Mission to the United Nations has tested positive for the Coronavirus disease or COVID-19.
Balitang New York's source who works for a different country representative at the UN in New York, said that at about 6PM this evening they were informed by their Ambassador that the Philippine Mission is in lockdown after a member tested positive.
The Philippine Mission to the UN has its office at the Philippine Center building in Manhattan located at 556 Fifth Avenue.
Balitang New York is waiting for an official statement from the Philippine Center.
Aside from the PH Consulate and the PH Mission to the UN, the PH Trade and Industry Attache, the PH Tourism Attache, the SSS and Pag-Ibig representatives have offices inside the Philippine Center building.
The Philippine Consulate in New York in a statement confirmed that "an employee working in the Philippine Center has tested positive for COVID-19 and is now being treated for symptoms." The full statement can be seen below. It was signed by Consul General Claro S. Cristobal.
The Public Diplomacy Section of the Philippine Consulate in NY also attached an 'Urgent Advisory' indicating that the Consulate and the Philippine Center will be closed to the public until further notice. It can be seen below.
