FORMER VP LENI BACK IN HER BELOVED PHILIPPINES AFTER 2-MONTH HARVARD HAUSER LEADERSHIP STINT

Former  Philippines Vice President Leni Gerona Robredo  finished her 2-month tenure at Harvard University as  Hauser Leader at Kennedy  School  Center for Public Leadership.  She returned to her native PH as a more recognized and more accomplished political leader.

While at Harvard, she was also  invited to speak and share her political dogmas on good and effective governance and experiences on disinformation and fake news in some leading US universities like MIT, NYU, Columbia, Northeastern University and Princeton University.

She also spoke at Asia Society in NY and Ford Foundation. Likewise, she met and spoke before Filipino  Americans in NY- N J.

In recognition, Harvard University published a lengthy essay in its Web Site titled "Lessons from the Philippines: Leni Robredo on Angat Buhay and accountable leadership." cpl.hks.harvard.edu

It was learned that the former lady vice president was offered teaching positions in some American schools where she spoke. It is unknown what her decision was. We believe it is good for her to accept some teaching offers and be out of her country for certain months of the year. (We heard in today's news-1/6, that Sec. Hillary Clinton, who, like Atty. Robredo, is a lawyer and former candidate for president of the United States, will be a professor at Columbia University in NY starting next month).

As of writing, a Speaker of the US House of Representatives, now with Republican majority, has not been elected after two days of repeated elections. The principal contender, Kevin McCarthy, cannot receive the required number of votes (218). Some 20 fellow Republican congressmen won't vote for McCarthy. (As of midnight of Jan. 6, McCarthy was finally elected Speaker by majority of his colleagues after reported concessions to the demands of some 20 members).

Eternal rest grant to Pope Benedict XVI O Lord and let the perptual light shine upon him.

I seek similar prayer for the soul of Mrs. Nits Toriano of New Milford, NJ, O Lord.

May both and all those who had gone ahead of us rest in peace. AMEN.
