New York - Raised Pinay is a benefit showcase that elevates the voices of an all-Pilipina identifying cast through sharing tough, touching, and honest, self-written stories of their own experiences and those of their ancestors. These stories have been formed though monologues, poetry, visual art, song, and movement.

Shows are June 28th and 29th, at Unversity Settlement, Speyer Hall, 184 Eldridge Street, New York, NY 10002.

While strengthening the Pinay voice and visibility, these productions will also be showcasing Pilipinx artists and businesses. All funds raised through ticket sales, raffles, and general donations, will be given directly to the 501c3 non-profit organization, Roots of Health (Ugat Ng Kalusugan), which is leading the fight for reproductive rights in the Philippines by providing free clinical services and sex health education.

Director and Co-Founder: JL Umipig, creator of The Journey of a Brown Girl 2014 and Raised Pinay 2016 and 2018; Co-Founders/Consultants: Justine Fonte & Rachelle Ocampo (Board of Directors Roots of Health);
Co-Producers: Josephine Amos and Triz Ann Dearoz
