New York, 15 May 2021 - Liz Kari shared what they experienced that day and described the days and weeks after the violent attack on her Filipino American mom, Vilma Kari. Liz spoke at the AAPI Day of Unity, Empowering Asian American Pacific Islander Voices event in Columbus Park at Manhattan's Chinatown. The event was hosted by Asians Fighting Injustice led by Ben Wei to celebrate Asian American Pacific Islander Heritage Month.
